The most common reason people give for not exercising as much as they should is that they don’t have enough time. There are either no exercise classes available when they can go, or the gym is closed, or it’s too late, or any one of a million other reasons.

For those that have decided to add a home yoga practice to their lives in order to get in shape or relieve some pain, I’ve found one of the best resources of yoga at home for the person who is always on the go to use to easily find time in their busy schedule for their practice.

Keep reading for my Yoga Download review and find out for yourself how it might be easier than you thought to start living a healthier life with yoga.

I always struggle to either get to a class or to book the class online before its full up as yoga is so popular. I can see how doing this at home with download yoga would eradicate those problems. It’s then about being disciplined enough to do it regularly. It’s a great alternative to going to the gym though. I shall look it up.

      Hi Jane!
Practicing yoga at home is definitely a great way to get started if you don’t have much time to get to a studio! Once you find a routine that works for you it really is just about sticking with it for the long-term in order to get the results you want. Thanks the for comment!

    Hi,

Thanks for this information. I have actually always wanted to do yoga, but just as you mentioned, I could never find a convenient class at a convenient time. I am really excited to read about Yoga Download.
Does this website offer live chat, or if not, are they good about answering questions? I have a specific injury that I would like to work on.

    Thanks so much!

      Hi Vessy!
I was just as excited about Yoga Download when I found it! There are so many different instructors and videos that you’ll never get bored or not be able to find a routine for the amount of time you have to practice.
Their customer support is by email but each time I have emailed them I have received a response within 24 hours so they seem to be really good about that as well. If you have a specific injury you are working on you can narrow your search within the site by each condition and get videos specifically for it. Thanks for the comment!

This looks like an outstanding alternative for people looking to get into Yoga but not wanting to sign up for a group class. It looks like you can learn at your own pace from the privacy of your own home. I have been thinking about hiring a private yoga teacher to come to my home to help and train me. Do you think this would be a good idea outside of these videos?
Your webpage is great too by the way. I like your logo and your widgets on the right. Excellent presentation, very well written article and very professional.

      Hi Ben
I love the Yoga Download site because it takes away all of the excuses that I try to give myself for not getting a workout in and lets me choose the specific type of class I wanted to do for a given day.
If you are thinking about hiring a private teacher the classes on the site would be a great way to supplement those private sessions. A private yoga teacher would be able to show you exactly how your body should look and feel when in a pose, and poses that are good for your body and the reason why you started practicing in the first place – back pain, weight loss, mental clarity, etc. Once you know what your body needs you can go through and find the specific classes for your body and practice on your own as well.
Thanks for the comment and I’m glad your enjoyed the site!

    Hi,
I’ve been hearing that yoga is a major health benefit for everybody and I’ve been trying to look into it. If it were just one or two people I’d say okay but even my flight instructors are asking for me to go to yoga! I have a questions Nate can you start at an intermediate level if I’m physically fit?

      Hi Eddie!
The amount of benefits that a regular yoga practice can provide for your body are endless, both physically and mentally, but to really understand them yourself you have to practice yoga. That’s why everyone you talk to tells you that you should do yoga because they’ve probably felt the benefits themselves!
If you’ve never done yoga before but you’re fairly athletic and fit already then you shouldn’t have too much trouble learning the basics of the practice and then advancing to more difficult postures and routines fairly quickly. I was the same way when I started practicing regularly, although I hadn’t worked out in several months due to an injury, but had always been athletic so it wasn’t difficult to get the hang of things.
What you will realize, though, is that you have a lot of muscles that you probably never knew you had before, and will have to stretch your body ways that you’ve previously avoided.
Because yoga is something completely different than you are probably used to, it’s best to start with a beginner’s level yoga routine to see where your body stands with yoga and then increase or decrease the difficulty from there.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Yoga really interests me. It is an age-old holistic way of exercising which appeals to me. Have also heard what benefits folk have gotten from practising yoga. I think of the Manchester United football star, Ryan Giggs. He played football at the highest level well into his late thirties and could probably still be playing had he not had the urge to manage a club.

I always read stories about professional athletes who practice yoga regularly say they feel like they perform at a higher level than when they didn’t practice yoga. There really is something special about it!
